Read the full announcement. However, GlobeMed was always much more than a nonprofit organization. GlobeMed is closing at the end of the 2022-23 academic year. These opportunities are based in partnerships with groundbreaking grassroots organizations in Asia, Africa, and the Americas. GlobeMed provides experiential learning opportunities for university students to become leaders for global health equity. Recognizing the health is impacted and influenced by a variety of factors, our partners work in a number of sectors. GlobeMed aims to mobilize a community of students and grassroots leaders to work together to improve the health of people around the world. Securing funding for long-term, systems change work has always been a challenge and GlobeMed was no exception. Through their chapter, students participate in activities that strengthen anti-oppressive partnership, peer learning & leading, and community & movement. GlobeMed envisions a world in which health – the ability to not only survive but thrive – is possible for all people. Since 2006, GlobeMed has been creating opportunities for students and communities to improve health around the world. GlobeMed chapters are partnered with groundbreaking grassroots across Asia, Africa, and the Americas. We host a variety of programs that are open to all as a way for all of us to strengthen the global health equity movement. .
